Chart notes
HECTOR well placed, moved up two and three wide through the turn, bid three wide into the stretch, made a steady gain, drifted in slightly late and edged up. STRAIGHTOUTADUTTON sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, held sway unchallenged, then was no match in the final yards and held the place safe. HE'S A GOOD DANCER allowed to settle, looped four and five wide through the turn, fanned widest into the stretch, made a steady gain and missed the place. TONY SMALL unhurried, moved up on the two path through the turn, came through on that path into the stretch, drifted out slightly, then drifted in while gaining under right hand urging and edged up for a share. COLONEL POPPY mid pack, moved up on the two path through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch and evened out. CITY TRIPPER rated close inside, angled out to bid outside the leader into the stretch, then faded the final furlong. MIDNIGHT AMBITION showed little three and four wide. DON ANTONIO steadied along in the early going, lost ground four wide through the turn, then faded into the stretch. AN OBJECTION LODGED BY THE RIDER OF TONY SMALL AGAINST THE RIDER OF HECTOR FOR INTERFERENCE AT THE SIXTEENTH POLE WAS NOT ALLOWED
