Chart notes
PENTATHLON dropped from the two path to the inside on the first turn, was rated just off the pace, saved ground while drafting behind the leader on the far turn, was asked while shifting to the two path at the quarter-pole, pursued the runner-up on the outside into the final furlong, gained the advantage outside the sixteenth-pole and drew clear under strong handling. CUANDO was hustled to the front, showed the way on the inside, responded well when asked near the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker, switched to a left-handed crop inside that marker, was overtaken by the winner outside the sixteenth-pole and proved no match while well clear for the place. UPSTANDING broke out from the outside post, dropped from the five path to the three path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, was asked in the two path on the far turn, spun three wide into the stretch and tired while able to hold the show. BOURBON'S FAULT bobbled slightly at the start then brushed with a foe, was taken in hand when a foe crossed in front early, dropped from the three path to the rail on the first turn, settled under some urging, was ridden along in the two path on the far turn, came four wide into upper stretch, remained on his left lead in the drive and lacked the needed response then missed the show. DAILY GRIND was hustled from the gate then taken in hand early, saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace under some urging, went around the far turn in the three path and failed to rally. IGNITE THE LIGHT bobbled at the start then brushed with a foe, went four wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged four wide on the far turn, dropped back in the six path into the stretch and faltered. FATTOUSH broke out at the start, went four then three wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, was given his cue late on the backstretch, went around the far turn in the three path, turned into the stretch in the five path and also faltered. PRAIRIE DUNES rounded the first turn in the two path, was urged along at the rear, saved ground on the far turn and showed little.
