TOMACON broke out and hit the gate then was hustled, went around the first turn in the two path, showed the way with a clear advantage, vied inside to the two path on the far turn, responded well when asked near the five-sixteenths pole, came under the crop just after turning into the stretch, was challenged while shortening stride in the final sixteenth and just held under strong urging. AMPLITUDE bumped with a rival at the start, dropped from the three path to the rail on the first turn, settled off the pace, was urged along passing the nine-sixteenths pole, shifted from the rail to the two path on the far turn, dropped back to the rail at the quarter-pole, commenced a rally under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, moved out while gaining into the final furlong then drifted out before being switched to a right-handed crop, gained into the final sixteenth, made a bid outside the winner late and just missed while able to get the place. D C BOY'S bumped hard with a rival at the start, saved ground on the first turn, was restrained off heels inside the three-quarter pole, settled off the pace, moved from the three path to the five path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the six path, remained on his inside lead to the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead, gained into the final sixteenth and missed but was clear for the show. FERRIS MULER bumped twice with a foe at the start, went two then three wide on the first turn, moved out in the vicinity of the five-eighths pole, was urged three then four wide on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the five path, chased the winner into the final furlong and lacked the needed response. CAESAR'S GHOST bumped hard with an opponent at the start, raced in the three path on the first turn, tracked the pace, dropped back under urging late on the backstretch, went two then three wide on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the five path then moved further out and came up empty. NEW YORK SCRAPPY went four wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, moved closer late on the backstretch, was asked in the two path while inside of a foe on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and capitulated. WIND DANCER was hustled from the gate, went five wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, moved closer late on the backstretch, chased in the three path on the far turn and had nothing left.
