STANFORD BAY away alertly and rushed to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of FINDING WAYS in the run down the backside, shook clear of his pace rival entering the final turn, and held a closing FLORIDA GATOR safely at bay late to prove best. FLORIDA GATOR away well, and settled off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, shifted three wide to launch his bid entering the final turn, and finished determinedly two out from the rail in the drive to prove clearly second best. FINDING WAYS broke sharply and tracked the pacesetter two wide into the backstretch, forced the issue two wide in the run down the backside, was unable to match strides with his pace rival entering the final turn, rallied two wide through the final turn, and finished one out from the rail in the drive to garner a share. BACK SHACK stalked the early pace while racing two out from the rail in the run down the backstretch, commenced his bid two wide entering the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon in the drive.
