Chart notes
SMITHWICK'S SPICE vied three wide leaving the chute, then dueled two wide, shook free nearing the quarter pole, dug in gamely in the two path in the stretch run, dueled late and narrowly held on. NOTHING BETTER away alertly, vied between rivals leaving the chute, then was steadied and shuffled back at the half mile marker, tracked on the inside, moved up inside in upper stretch, commenced a rail rally past the furlong marker, surged late and just missed. SENBEI raced four wide leaving the chute, then stalked two wide, came three wide into the lane, rallied in the four path in the final furlong and closed well late. XY SPEED vied inside for the lead, dueled on the turn, dug in gamely between rivals in the stretch and was outkicked. SEAVER raced off the pace inside, came two wide into the lane and closed belatedly outside. GOLDEN BROWN raced two wide off the pace, chased three wide on the turn and weakened in the stretch.
