ELEGANT BOY forwardly placed away from the start, rated just off of the early pace and tracked two to three wide into the first turn, well placed into the backstretch run, slipped to the inside and saved ground into the far turn, loomed at the quarter pole, tipped three to four wide into upper stretch and rallied nearing the furlong marker, took command past mid-stretch, kicked clear into the final sixteenth and won going away in the late stages. BIG BET prominent away from the start, contested the early pace inside of BOOMING BERNARDO, ceded the lead to that rival and stalked the decent pace into the backstretch run, chased two wide into the far turn, vied for the lead into upper stretch and took command heading to the furlong marker, was overtaken by the winner past mid-stretch, could not match strides with the winner into the final sixteenth and was second best in the end. FAR TO LONG was squeezed leaving the start and broke a bit slowly, was unhurried in the early stages and trailed into the backstretch run, roused four wide into the far turn, could not sustain his rally in the final furlong and held safely at the finish for third. FINCAIRN allowed to settle in the early stages, unhurried through the backstretch run, saved ground into the far turn and trailed at the quarter marker, swung four to five wide into upper stretch, found his best stride late but could not reel in the leaders in deep stretch. LATER TAMARTATER was forwardly placed away from the start, got caught in tight entering the first turn, checked and was bumped at the six-furlong marker, chased three wide into the backstretch run, lost position approaching the half-mile pole, was again caught in tight into the second turn and checked approaching the quarter pole, made a mild rally in the stretch drive but needed more in the late stages. BOOMING BERNARDO hustled leaving the start, was prominent in the early going and contested the pace outside of BIG BET entering the first turn, took command into the backstretch run and drew to a clear lead at the half-mile pole, set a decent pace into the far turn, was overtaken into upper stretch, could not keep pace past the furlong marker and faded in the late stages. DRINKS AT THE CLUB settled off of the early pace while not far back, saved ground into the first turn, was well placed while saving ground through the backstretch run, maintained an inside path into the far turn, chased to the quarter marker, lacked a response in the stretch drive and gave way. I AM AMADEO was forwardly placed away from the start, saved ground into the first turn, lost position along the backstretch run, chased two wide into the second turn and tired in the stretch. NIGHTBIRDE IT'S OK allowed to settle in the early going, raced two to three wide into the first turn, was floated out a bit leaving the six-furlong marker and was caught four wide into the backstretch run, settled off of the decent pace approaching the half-mile pole, lost position into the far turn and trailed in the stretch drive.
