FIRST PLAYER raced in the three path along the first turn, stalked the pace down the backstretch from between horses, made a bid along the far turn, was in the four path into the lane, took over command in the upper stretch and drew clear under a brisk drive. BRILLIANT MAN trailed the field early on, raced in the five path into the lane, rallied down the lane and was slowly gaining on the winner in the final stages. BREADMAN raced between horses along the first turn, tracked the pace early on, was in the three path into the lane and moved up late in the stretch run. COPPER ECHO set the pace early on, raced in the two path into the lane and faltered late in the stretch drive. BETTERA raced in the three path along the first turn, tracked the pace down the backstretch from the three path, was in the four path into the lane and faded down the lane. THE THUNDERER raced along the inside in the turns and was through after three quarters.
