Chart notes
HOT LAVA CAKE sprinted clear early, saved ground setting the pace and drew off to win with something left. SETTLER'S COVE was unhurried early, rallied four-wide into the stretch and closed strongly. BIKINI NATION was forwardly placed while racing two-wide and finished well for third in a steady effort. DRINKUP BUTTERCUP saved ground tracking HOT LAVE CAKE but lacked a rally when asked. LASSIE CAT was allowed to settle, came five-wide into the stretch and was gaining slightly late. PHOENICIAN MAGIC was bumped at the start by SHELBY SHORTSTOP then was reserved early, came five-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten. SHELBY SHORTSTOP broke out to bump PHOENICIAN MAGIC then dropped back, came six-wide into the stretch and was not a factor.
