Chart notes
SIX J STARLET brushed with a rival on the first turn, stalked the pace in the two path, was boxed in on the far turn, bid in early stretch and, was clear and lasted under steady urging. SHARON'S GREY HOPE was unrushed early, rallied six wide at the quarter pole but couldn't reach the winner while closing. NIXA was well back inside and rallied belatedly in the five path. GOSPEL MUSIC was clear early and gave way at the eighth pole. EVERLASTING SPIRIT was bumped at the start, brushed with the winner on the first turn and lacked a late bid. EMPIRE SUNRISE was off awkwardly and was through early.
