Chart notes
STILL GRUMPY saved ground on the first turn, started hear bid nearing the three eighths pole and improved steadily through the backstretch, raced at the rail on the far turn and dug in with a late burst of speed to get up the final stride. NAVY BAND moved to the inside and rated the early pace, was met into the backstretch, dueled to recover the advantage at the rail into the far turn and contested the edge through the turn, dug in under steady handling from the head of the lane but was caught in the final stride. PETTY PERFECT stalked from the three path the opening turn, moved to even terms into the backstretch and dueled with the edge from that point, was met at the quarter pole, contested near even terms through the far turn but flattened mid-stretch. DAY DRAMA stalked from the three path, picked up the chase toward the seven sixteenths pole, raced in the three path on the far turn and showed little further. SEVEN NATTY PATTY stalked from the four path the first turn, gave chase into the backstretch but weakened in the four path on the far turn. PHILMARY CASTLE rated close inside the first turn, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole then faded into the far turn. DREAM STREET ROSE rounded the opening turn about the five path, left the turn outside and showed little response.
