Chart notes
STAR KANOO pressed the pace, got a head in front on the turn, swung out entering the stretch, inched away for a short lead and held under pressure. ONASA was unprepared at the start and bumped, pressed four across, was carried out leaving the turn, continued willingly, was in tight late and got up for place in a good effort. NOVGOROD THE GREAT raced close to the pace along the inside, bid four wide entering the stretch, was in tight late and was outfinished for place. MISTER KELLY raced in the second flight, altered course in the upper stretch and offered a mild bid only. MCVICKER set a pressured pace, continued when headed and stopped past the eighth pole. INTO THE SUNRISE broke out and bumped at the start, pressed three wide between horses, was carried out entering the stretch and dropped back. CYCLONE ATTACK broke in, saved ground and trailed the field.
