U. S. ARMY was settled in the early going while three wide into the turn, rallied on the turn and was in a long drive and drew away in late stretch. DEAN'S LIST stumbled at the start then vied for the early lead while three wide, drew off into the turn and was in a strong drive but weakened in late stretch. BLUE LIGHT was allowed to settled then rallied and was three wide in the stretch drive but was no menace in late stretch. SPEIGHT AND MALICE vied for the early lead from between rivals, was hard used then dropped back on the turn and failed to menace in the stretch. DON'TCROSSTHEDEVIL was inside on the backstretch then shuffled back into the turn, saved ground and made a mild rally but was no threat. EMPIRE OF GOLD vied for the lead while inside, was used up and gave way. ESPIONAGE was unhurried early then raced two wide on the turn and was no threat.
