CHECKERED FLAG was forwardly placed while racing wo-wide on the turn, came four-wide into the stretch, took the lead nearing the eighth pole and then was fully extended to hold off GOIN'S SOUTH while drifting out slightly late. GOIN' SOUTH was allowed to settle, rallied five-wide the final quarter and finished fast to just miss. KISS THE TIGER saved ground chasing the pace, swung out to be three-wide entering the stretch then angled back to the inside leaving the trhee-sixteenths pole, steadied slightly while in tight leaving the eighth pole and finished strongly when clear. WHISKEYTHENWINE was unhurried early, came three-wide into the stretch, split rivals nearing the three-sixteenths pole and rallied late. LOCALLYWORLDFAMOUS vied for the lead with SLEW O'MISCHIEF to the eighth pole while drifting out slightly nearing the three-sixteenths pole and weakened slightly late.
