Chart notes
HE'SPUREGOLD tracked the leaders while saving ground, angled out nearing the quarter pole, rallied three wide into the stretch, closed willingly outside of THERE ARE NO WORDS, dueled with that rival, put a head in front in deep stretch and prevailed determinedly. THERE ARE NO WORDS stalked close up two wide, bid two wide on the turn, put a head in front, inched away in upper stretch, then dug in gamely inside of HE'SPUREGOLD and dueled to the finish. SIR LONDON raced off the pace inside, moved up inside on the far turn, rallied inside in the stretch run and closed well for third. STARSTRUCK NOTION steadied at the start, pulled in the early stages, trailed the field, made a four wide run on the far turn, came four wide into the lane, rallied between rivals and missed for third. ST ANTHONY raced off the pace between rivals throughout, steadied lacking room at the five furlong marker and again at the three furlong pole, then moved up four wide past the quarter pole and rallied mildly outside in the lane. GOLDEN BROWN raced three wide on the first turn, then stalked between rivals, chased and tired. OCEAN CITY set the pace on the inside, dueled on the far turn, dug in and faded in the final furlong. SURFACE TO AIR steadied at the start, raced four wide on the first turn, continued with a four or three wide trip and gave way.
