Chart notes
SAXTON stalked the pace from the fence through the turn, angled to the clear in upper stretch and finished well to be going away in deep stretch. NOLA BOSS pressed the pace from two wide to the top of the lane, took command in upper stretch and was out-finished in the drive to be second best. POTCAKE reserved off the leaders to the turn while racing along the fence in the third flight, angled wide nearing the quarter pole forcing BUY TOM A BEER way wide at the top of the lane and found best stride in mid-stretch to mount a good closing rally. STORMIN' RUNNER set a pressured pace to the head of the stretch and weakened in the lane. LEX'S GAME slow early to be the trailer, saved ground cutting the corner coming for home and showed some late interest in the stretch. TOQUE unhurried to be near the rear of the back, circled the field and made a mild rally in the stretch. DEFINED BOUNDARIES chased the leaders from five wide and went evenly. BUY TOM A BEER rated in mid-pack racing four wide through the turn, was forced way wide at the top of the lane by inside rival and tried to rally from there without impact. BISHOP MEADE was well placed along the fence without avail and dropped back down the lane. HIGHTAILING HARRY tracked the leaders from three wide to the head of the lane and gave way in the stretch. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE RUN TURNING FOR HOME REGARDING LEX'S GAME AND UPON REVIEW MADE NO CHANGE.
