LEYAS CANDY dueled from outside in the three path and was keen to go on leaving the first turn, inched ahead at the five-eighths pole, cleared inner rival at the midway point, challenged from outside with three-furlongs remaining but turned that rival away at the five-sixteenths pole, showed the way into the stretch and drew away under a tap of right-handed urging and steady handling. KEEN TO GO stalked two wide then along the rail in hand early, went between rivals at the half-mile pole, put in a mild bid from outside at the three-eighths pole but was turned away quickly, chased two wide to the stretch and kept on for a clear second. JOINT VENTURE dueled from inside around the clubhouse turn, pressed the leader earl on the backstretch then chased past the half-mile pole, saved ground to the stretch, could not summon the needed late response to come back on in the lane but held third. ROGUE SON settled along the inside, pushed on through the far turn, went two wide into the lane and failed to threaten. ARROGATES SPIRIT raced up close five then four wide early, chased three deep into the far turn, moved out to the four path then came back to the three path late on the bend and weakened. SEATTLE BREAKOUT forwardly placed from the four path then altered into the two path around the clubhouse turn, went three wide into the far turn, found the rail around the bend and came up empty in the drive. HARDMONEYMUCHACHOS climbed three, four, then five wide on the clubhouse turn, remained wide to the second bend, spun three wide into the stretch and tired.
