SPECIAL WAN (IRE) broke a step slow, lacked speed along the inside, swung out five wide into the lane, got floated out to the eight path in upper stretch, yet sustained a rally to surge outside of the leaders in the closing stages, and forged an advantage nearing the wire. SPARTAN QUEEN tracked two wide and between horses, slipped through to bid inside of the leaders reaching midstretch, vied and led in the final sixteenth but was outkicked by an outer bidder late. LEO TORO fidgeted and broke in a tangle, laid off of the pace two to three wide and between horses, moved four wide at the three furlong pole, rallied in the five path in upper stretch to bid at the furlong grounds, but was flopped back to his left lead, flattened out while getting turned away by an inner foe in the final sixteenth and got outkicked for place. HOLA GATA laid off of the pace along the inside, chased drifting out to the five to seven path in upper stretch, closed in along with an outer rival into midstretch, but got outkicked while flopping back to his left lead with a sixteenth to go. BELLE CHERIE broke a beat slow, stalked three wide, chased in range four wide and among foe in upper stretch, then yielded. HIGH STICK stalked along the inside, then gave way in upper stretch. SMOOTH WAVES set the pace inside of a prompting foe, held in the two path in upper stretch but weakened between horses reaching the furlong grounds. ZIAERATI prompted outside of the leader, sustained pressure in the three path entering upper stretch but weakened between horses at the furlong grounds. FLOORED trailed in the two to three path and failed to factor. COME AS YOU ARE leaned out at the start, pursued from midpack four wide, weakened turning for home and was eased through the lane.
