SMOOTH PLAYER raced four wide early, settled off the rail, off the pace, moved up three wide on the far turn, came four wide into the stretch, closed steadily outside in the final furlong and was up late for the win. PORTIS vied inside for the lead, dueled on the backside, shook free at the quarter pole, drew clear, dug in gamely in the final sixteenth and was caught late. T V MAN raced off the pace inside, moved up at the quarter pole, came four wide into the lane, rallied mildly outside and was along for the show spot. LONG ASTRIDE vied two wide for the lead, then dueled, chased on the far turn and weakened. SWEET SPITE stalked three wide, chased on the far turn and tired. BRAD'S BET bobbled at the break, raced two wide off the pace, moved up on the far turn, then lacked a stretch rally. MIDHEIRFLYINHIGH tracked on the inside, chased inside on the far turn and gave way. THE ELUSIVE DRWONG was outrun early and dropped far back.
