Chart notes
CALIFORNIA FROLIC settled off the pace outside a rival, continued in that stalking position on the backside, bid three wide on the far turn, dueled in upper stretch, then kicked in willingly in the final sixteenth and edged away for the win. SPORTS EDITOR set the pace racing with a clear lead, showed the way on the backside, dueled on the far turn, then hooked up with CALIFORNIA FROLIC in midstretch and dug in gamely inside of that rival to the finish. HIGHLAND CHIEF (IRE) raced off the pace inside, chased the leaders on the far turn, came three wide into the lane and rallied mildly to best the others. IT CAN BE DONE tracked close up on the inside, bid between rivals entering the far turn, dueled and faded in the stretch run. THIRTY THOU KELVIN raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the far turn and lacked a rally. APRIL FOOLS ANDY raced off the pace inside, saved ground on the final turn and failed to threaten. BE HERE steadied a bit at the start and never factored.
