Chart notes
HUNTERS GHOST raced up close four wide in early stages, dueled outside around the turn, took over the lead from ROCK CITY ROCKET in the final furlong and edged away. BIG SWEDE tracked the compact flight through early stages, waited behind a wall of pursuers around the turn, given cue four wide near the furlong marker and finished willingly. ROCK CITY ROCKET pressed the pace in opening stages, vied for the lead around the turn, battled on into the lane, got overtaken by the winner in the final furlong and weakened to show. SAILOR CHOW tracked the embattled top flight, rode the rail around the turn, tipped two wide and given cue at the head of the lane, briefly gained closer contention then evened out. LODE OF BLARNEY raced up close in opening stages, dueled for the lead around the turn then weakened. MONTEREY PENINSULA raced just off the top flight, hustled along four wide around the turn then gave way. HASTINGS SUNRISE briefly led the way in opening stages, dueled into the turn then retreated in the lane.
