WITHOUT A TRACE pressed the pace while two wide on the backstretch, stayed two wide on the far turn to take command then shied from the whip at the top of the stretch, was in a strong hand ride and proved best in late stretch. SPOILER chased the early pace while between rivals on the backstretch, made a bid on the far turn then was gaining ground but was second best in the end. MAZUMA chased the early pace while three wide on the backstretch, made a bid turning for home and waited until the winner straighten out then was no menace in late stretch. MAN IN THE CAN set a pressured pace while inside, was in a long drive but faltered in the stretch drive. BROWN TOWN was hard to load then stalked the pace while inside on the backstretch, made a bid then faltered in the stretch. A claim of foul was lodged by the rider of MAZUMA against the rider of WITHOUT A TRACE for interference at the top of the stretch. After reviewing the film's, no action was taken.
