Chart notes
WESTERBERG was unhurried early, rallied three-wide into the stretch, angled in slightly to split rivals nearing the eighth pole and was up in the final seventy yards. SURPRISE FASHION saved ground while being allowed to settle, angled out nearing the quarter pole to be five-wide entering the stretch and closed strongly. REGULATION DAZED was reserved off the early pace, moved up along the inside on the turn, slipped through during the drive and finished in a mild rally. PROUD LION vied with CAJUN TREASURE from along the inside, drifted out to be three-wide entering the stretch then continued to drifted out slightly late and held on well in a good effort. CAJUN TREASURE vied with PROUD LION from along the outside, came four-wide into the stretch and weakened late. ATOMIC CANDY raced in the middle of the field while three-wide but lacked a rally.
