Chart notes
TONY ECLIPSE set a pressured pace along the inner rail to the stretch, edged clear entering the lane, was put to the whip in upper stretch and readily pulled away under brisk urging. ANTIETAM , a forward factor along the inner rail for a half mile, swung out three wide leaving the turn, had aim on the leader in upper stretch, remained on his left lead and weakened. LOU'S BIRTHDAY prompted the pace outside the winner and gave way through the stretch. BREWMASTER , forwardly placed outside horses down the backstretch, gave way leaving the turn. SPEEDY ALEX , outrun, drifted four wide entering the stretch. UP IN FLAMES , along the rail down the backstretch, briefly chased the pace, faltered and was eased.
