Chart notes
EMPEROROFTHENORTH vied with I'M NOBLE from along the inside, opened clear nearing the quarter pole and gradually increased his advantage. I'M NOBLE vied with EMPEROROFTHENORTH from along the inside to near the quarter pole, was unable to stay with that one but proved to be second best. MARCH ON LINCH was allowed to settle, moved closer nearing the quarter pole while four-wide but was unable to reach the top two in a steady effort. MOVE OVER (GB) saved ground while being unhurried and failed to menace. KO SAMUI (IRE) ducked in at the start to unseat his rider and then was walked off following the race. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH,
