Chart notes
NAVAL ESCORT saved ground while being unhurried, angled out to be two-wide entering the stretch, took the lead nearing the eighth pole and quickly drew clear while being ridden out. COASTAL KID was reserved off the pace, moved up along the inside on the turn, came three-wide into the stretch and finished well for second in a good effort. ITS KRAKEN TIME prompted the early pace while two-wide, dropped back on the turn, came four-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally for third. COASTAL JAZZ was forwardly placed early, came five-wide into the stretch and weakened. PAPA'S GOLDEN BOY saved ground setting the pace, drifted out to be five-wide entering the stretch and tired late. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS INQUIRY CHUCKANUT BAY WAS DECLARED A NON-STARTER DUE TO A MALFUNCTUON OF THE STARTING GATE.
