BAKENEKO circled the field in the first turn, took over as the leader on the backside, set the pace to his liking, led until the upper stretch, was challenged and dueled, was caught by the eighth pole, but held for second. RIVER REDEMPTION was racing in the middle of the filed in the two path, maintained positioning into the stretch, shifted out six wide mid stretch, launched a bid and closed passing the set in front of him getting up for third. SIMPLE LOGIC stalked the pace from the rail, then shuffled back at the three eighths pole, finishing even. WICKED SUPRISE was on the lead and racing three wide in between rivals early, drifted into a stalking position, advanced and challenged for the lead nearing the upper stretch was in contention but had no late kick. HONEST TO GOODNESS trailed early on, launched a bid at the half mile pole, gained ground and improved position, shifted eight wide in the upper stretch, then finished rather flat.
