Chart notes
BEAUTIFUL CHARADE was well placed early, rallied at the top of the stretch and split horses, drew clear under firm handling FLAME FOR REAL pressed the early pace, rallied at the quarter pole and gained the lead, could not match strides late with the winner but was second best. SMARTASSET set the pace for five eights and gradually weakened. SOMETHING LUCKY was bumped soon after the start and was no threat. MANDAVILLA allowed to settle, failed to menace. J. P INDY was in tight early, was pulled up on the far turn and walked off. The trainer of J P INDY claimed foul for interference soon after the start. After viewing the tape the stewards took no action.
