Chart notes
BATTLE OF NORMANDY broke in at the start trading a bump with PIONEERING SPIRIT, tracked the leader just off the inside in closest aim, remained on hold until set down spinning three then two wide into upper stretch, rallied to tussle with the leader through the final furlong taking command forty yards from the finish, dug in between foes and just held on at the wire. ANDTHEWINNERIS tracked the pace along the inside patiently handled until let out spinning two to three wide into upper stretch, closed well through the final furlong and just missed at the end. KUBRICK (IRE) established the front and was rated showing the way along the inside through dawdling splits, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and was roused taking the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught in the final forty yards to the finish, ran on to preserve the show honors clear of the rest. UTAH BEACH settled just off the inside tracking the leader from just off the pace, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, stayed on one paced through to the finish. HIGHESTDISTINCTION bobbled at the break, saved ground near the rear of the field patiently handled until placed to coaxing nearing the quarter pole, got set down spinning four wide into upper stretch, made mild ground but made no headway. PIONEERING SPIRIT broke out at the start trading a bump with BATTLE OF NORMANDY, tracked the front two to three wide from the tail of the field, came under coaxing with five-sixteenths to go, angled five wide at the head of the stretch and trailed.
