Chart notes
TEXAS TOWN broke in while clearing the horses to the inside of him then dueled with SHIRL'S BEE for the lead into the stretch, opened a clear advantage nearing the three-sixteenths pole and then was fully extended to prevail. JUSTIFREAK was bumped at the start by CAPER'S HOOLIE then was reserved off the pace, rallied two-wide into the stretch, angled out to be four-wide nearing the eighth pole and finished fast. PAY ZONE broke out at the start to bump with ONE GIANT LEAP then was allowed to settle, angled out to be five-wide entering the stretch and closed strongly. ALDER was forwardly placed while racing three-wide but lacked a rally when asked. SHIRL'S BEE dueled with TEXAS TOWN for the lead into the stretch from along the inside and tired. ONE GIANT LEAP was bumped at the start by PAY ZONE then was in tight racing the inside nearing the half mild pole, continued to save ground then steadied nearing the sixteenth pole running up on traffic and finished willingly when clear. TRIPLE TREA was bumped at the start from along the inside then settled while racing two-wide but failed to be a factor. CAPER'S HOOLEY saved ground chasing the pace for a half mile and tired. THE JOCKEY OF JUSTIFREAK LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST TEXAS TOWN BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH.
