Chart notes
SHIP THE GOODS was hustled to the lead approaching the three eighths pole and set a pressured pace, raced clear at the rail on the turn and was steadily encouraged through the lane. CLAW gave chase, rounded the turn about the four path and dug in from the head of the lane to take second inside the sixteenth pole. ALLEN CAN DO IT chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn in the seven and eight paths, left the turn widest and finished well to take third late yards, while gaining on the runner-up. ON THE COME UP gave chase, raced in the five path on the turn and ran evenly in the lane. JIMMY THE KID chased outside, raced in the eight path on the turn and flattened stride later yards. EMPEROROFTHEDARK exchanged contact with Krusin Rocket leaving the gate then angled in with a brief lead and pressed the pace, but dropped back approaching the quarter pole, raced in the three path the turn and weakened mid-stretch. FU MAN SUE gave early chase inside but steadied near the rail in the vicinity of the five sixteenths pole, raced in the four path on the turn and showed little in the lane. KRUSIN ROCKET exchanged contact with Emperorofthedark leaving the gate then gave chase, raced near the rail on the turn and weakened toward mid-stretch. TACO BEAN chased inside then faded off the rail on the turn.
