Chart notes
MANITOWISH tracked widest in the early going, moved into the three path entering the turn, came four wide into the stretch, closed in on the top pair with a furlong remaining, drew alongside the leaders at the sixteenth pole and drove clear. TRANCHE stepped to the front from inside, set the tone up the backstretch, challenged by outer rival into the turn, dueled around the bend, lost command late on the turn, regained the lead in upper stretch, battled into the final furlong held TOOK CHARGE at bay but yielded to the winner in deep stretch. TOOK CHARGE stalked from outside, dueled around the turn, took a short lead into the stretch, lost command past the quarter pole, battled back through the lane was outfinished by the top pair. JOE DON LOONEY bumped leaving the gate, stalked off the rail, rounded the bend two then three wide, moved out in the lane and lacked a bid. MARSH CREEK broke in and bumped rival, angled in and moved up inside quickly, chased in range through the turn, then weakened in the drive. STAY ON THE FENCE trailed off the rail then steered to the inside, moved into the two path around the bend and also weakened.
