Chart notes
EDDIE'S WAVE dueled from outside, vied three deep at the midway point, remained three wide through the far turn, fought five wide into the stretch, put a head in front, lost command while dueling inside SHARP WONDER down the lane, then dug in late to regain command at the sixteenth pole and gamely prevailed. SHARP WONDER broke out, stalked three then four wide early, remained off the rail to the far turn, angled out and bid six wide into the lane, put a head in front dueling outside EDDIE'S WAVE, battled through the final furlong and was outgamed in deep stretch. L SQUARED dueled from inside early, vied between foes at the midway point, regained a short lead on the far turn, drifted a bit leaving the bend, lost command in upper stretch, could not kick on with the leaders and churned on to save the show. UPLIFT bumped leaving the gate, settled inside, angled out at the five-sixteenths pole, moved out further in upper stretch and could not get by L SQUARED for third. CLASSIC ALPHIE broke a step slow, tracked outside a rival in the four then five path on the first turn, drew closer three wide on the second bend but flattened out in the lane. WINSITWELL stalked from inside, made an early move to grab the lead from the top pair, vied for command into the far turn then jumped the track at the seven-sixteenths pole, fought back for a bit then chased the leaders into the lane and weakened in the drive. EVERTORIANO tracked three then four wide early, went three wide into the far turn, got floated out at the five-sixteenths pole and failed to menace.
