Chart notes
QUEEN GIRVIN stalked up the backstretch off the inside, drew alongside the leader past the three-eighths pole, got floated six wide into the lane, took over while dueling in upper stretch, maintained a narrow advantage over inner rival into the final furlong, then drew clear in the last sixteenth. SPIRIT RULES away quickly to take control, led early under pressure then cleared approaching the half-mile marker, took pressure from QUEEN GIRVIN past the three-eighths pole, drifted five wide leaving the bend, lost command in upper stretch, fought back into the final furlong before yielding in deep stretch. SEEKING QUALITY sat off the pace off the rail then outside a rival, went two wide into the turn, angled out to the four path around the bend while moving into striking distance, kept on through the stretch but finished evenly late. MAGIC TIP asked early and went up to force the pace from inside, could not keep up approaching the half-mile pole, chased along the rail into the turn, spun three wide into the lane and weakened. HIGH FLYING GRACIE trailed early, traveled three wide into the turn, entered the lane in the five path and failed to make an impact. WILD RULER sat off the pace, dropped back to last on the turn racing along the fence, eased in the final furlong and walked off.
