Chart notes
OUTOFTHEDARK raced in the three path around the first turn, tracked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, came around the far bend in the two path, led the way entering the stretch and dug in to hold off a closer to the wire. BURNING LEAVES raced in the two path early, settled off the pace for the run up the backstretch, navigated the second turn from the three path, began a bid passing the quarter pole and gained ground late to narrowly miss. MARTINI BLU saved ground around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the inside for the run up the backstretch, began a bid from the two path coming around the far tur and chased on to the finish. LAST MARTINI was away from the gate slowly, raced in the four path around the first turn, trailed the field up the backstretch, came around the second turn in the two path and improved position in the lane. IL CAPITANO led the way from the two path through the opening half mile, dueled from the rail around the far turn and weakened in the final furlong. HANDSOME HARRY raced in the three path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, came around the far bend still in the three path and was outkicked in the stretch. I WILL STAND saved ground early, chased the leader on the inside up the backstretch, continued to save ground around the far turn and faded in the lane. ST. ELMO stumbled leaving the gate, losing his rider in the process, chased the field around the oval, was caught by an outrider entering the stretch and walked off.
