Chart notes
BEAU CIEL was away alertly to set the early pace, then vied for the lead on the inside of STAYGOLDPONYBOY, then was in between rivals by the half mile marker, continued between rivals on the turn and then made a two wide bid leaving the turn and kicked clear by the furlong marker and then remained clear to the wire to prove best, driving. STONINGTON was four wide into the first turn, settled on the outside, advanced by the half mile marker, then continued four wide on the far turn and came five wide into the lane and finished willingly to be clearly second best. UPTOWN TAPPIN was off slowly, then recovered and chased the pace on the inside, made a middle move on the inside to vie for command by the half mile marker, then continued to vie for command inside a duo on the turn and weakened in the drive, bested rest. STAYGOLDPONYBOY vied for the lead on the outside, then was four wide on the backstretch, then continued to vie for command on the outside while three to four wide on the far turn but tired in the lane. KYE chased the pace three wide, then was five wide by the quarter pole and tired. QUAHOG REPUBLIC failed to menace.
