Chart notes
VILLIAN away alertly, set all the pace while nicely rated, drifted to the four patch entering the stretch and proved best under strong right handed urging KELLEHER close up along the inside, angled out on the far turn, loomed boldly three wide nearing the quarter pole, drifted to the seven path under left handed urging giving up ground then came on again through the final stages and was steadily cutting into the winners advantage nearing the wire. THAT'S THE WAY never far back, finished with good courage inside the top pair. COUNTEVERYBLESSING was antsy in the gate and failed to menace. MANGA MAN broke slowly and was always outrun. MAY MAYHEM stalked the early pace three wide and was through after a half. FIRSTHAND JUSTICE pressured the winner two wide for five and one half furlongs then gave way.
