O K SMARTY PANTS settled off the rail the first turn, bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole and raced at the rail on the far turn, dug in for the lead leaving the eighth pole and was steadily encouraged to hold on. IHEARTRAINACOMN saved ground on the first turn, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole, raced in the four path on the far turn and finished well to gain on the winner. FINE WHINING raced with the pace inside, was met into the backstretch and gave chase to recover the advantage at the rail midway on the far turn, but bore out leaving the far turn, gave up the lead past the eighth pole and continued to bear outward under left hand urging the final sixteenth. IMPRESSIONISM raced off the rail the first turn, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole and improved steadily, eased outward on the far turn and left the turn outside, finished well but was steadied in the final stride. PRINCESS MARGARET rounded the first turn about the five path, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole and raced in the seven path on the far turn, left the turn wide and passed some rivals in the lane. TESHIMA raced with the early pace two deep then took then lead into the backstretch and dueled with the advantage, gave up the lead while two deep midway on the far turn, was carried out then shut off entering the stretch and weakened. UNCAPTURED RUBY raced in the five path the first turn, gave chase into the backstretch and rounded the far turn about the four path then flattened in the lane. EMBERLY raced in the four path the first turn, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn in the five and six paths, drifted leaving the turn and weakened in the lane. TRANSPARENCY raced in the three path the first turn, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole but flattened in the three path on the far turn. BEST VIRGINIA saved ground well back. The Stewards reviewed a claim of foul against the rider of Fine Whining for interference leaving the far turn, lodged by the rider of Teshima, but decided on taking no action.
