Chart notes
HATCH moved up then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, took the lead outside the five-sixteenths pole, dueled with the runner-up in the stretch and prevailed under strong urging. CLASSIC MARK broke out at the start, was forwardly placed on the outside, made a bid in the six then five path on the turn, dueled with the winner in the stretch and missed while clear for the place. HIGH HEAT broke alertly then was well placed just off the pace, moved from the rail to the two path while asked near the five-sixteenths pole, pursued the top two in the stretch and narrowly earned the show. AFTERNOON HEAT chased the pace, made a bid in the four path on the turn, dropped back in the six path into the stretch and was out-kicked then just missed the show. ROCK THE WEEKEND chased the pace, dropped back leaving the backstretch, went five then four wide on the turn, came six wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response. OPTIC WAY broke out but was away towards the front, angled in while speeding clear early, was challenged outside the five-eighths pole, dropped from the two path to the rail on the turn, lost the advantage outside the five-sixteenths pole and capitulated. PRINCE JAMES bumped with a rival after the start, was urged along off the pace, dropped from the four path to the two path on the turn and failed to threaten. GOLDINI bumped with a foe after the start, was hard ridden near the back, went six then five wide on the turn and came up empty.
