Chart notes
MAGIC ACCOUNT was a bit rank early racing outside inner pair, challenged three then two wide around the turn, cleared while drifting in and taking the path of CHASING RAIN in upper stretch, then drew away under left handed urging and steady handling. CHASING RAIN showed the way early inside rivals, dueled with MAGIC ACCOUNT past the five-sixteenths pole, started to lose touch with that rival at the top of the lane before having steady when the winner came over, moved out at the eighth pole and stayed on for a clear second. BIG SPLASH traveled near the back then trailed up the backstretch, entered the turn two wide, spun four wide into the lane and was along for third. THE BIG CHEESEOLA pressed the pace outside the leader, between rivals to the five-sixteenths pole, chased three wide leaving the bend, flattened in the lane and lost third. DEVILNTHEBLUEGRAS off slow to begin, moved into range from inside, angled four wide around the bend, eased in the final furlong and walked off. THE RIDER ABOARD CHASING RAIN LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST MAGIC ACCOUNT FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THAT ALTHOUGH MAGIC ACCOUNT DID CROSS OVER INTO THE PATH OF CHASING RAIN, THE INCIDENT DID NOT ALTER THE OUTCOME OF THE RACE.
