Chart notes
SWEET EMPIRE prompted the pace three wide down the backstretch, took over the lead early on the turn, set the balance of the pace, widened into the stretch under right handed urging and won under confident handling. CAUSE OF LOVE with the second flight outside, had a mild late rally four wide and got up for second. TALE OF THE LYON pressed the early pace two wide, made the lead after a quarter, set the pace into the turn then was outfinished. GAIL'S DANCER unhurried early, improved position late along the rail. CLIFTONS BALLERINA close up from the start along the inside, shifted four wide at the top of the stretch and finished with good courage. WOLFIE'S PRINCESS was no factor. BEAUTIFUL LASS set the early pace along the inside and was through after a half.
