Chart notes
THE RED MAN never far back, began to gain ground two wide through the turn, shifted out to the four path at the top of the stretch, angled back inside the leader to the three path inside the furlong marker, dug in under left handed urging and got up in the final strides. NO ANGEL was bumped at the start, settled just off the leaders four wide down the backstretch, rallied three then two wide through the turn to make the lead at the top of the stretch, set the balance of the pace and just missed hanging on. OWN THE TOWN never far back, finished with good courage four wide. MARLEY LUCK set a pressured pace between horses two wide into the stretch and weakened late. ONEMORANDTHECHECK pressed the pace along the inside down the backstretch and weakened on the turn. FIRST CITIZEN drifted out bumping the runner up at the start, was a sharp threat three wide down the backstretch then was through after a half.
