Chart notes

TRIPLE START allowed to settle, saved ground through the turns, moved up and was blocked into the stretch, waited, came through, angled out, made a steady gain and drew off late. MISCHIEF WARRIOR sprinted to a clear head soon after the start, held sway to the final sixteenth, then was no match for the winner, while clearly best of the rest. CITY LEADER stalked the pace on the outside, held position on the two path, bid on that path into the stretch, then flattened and held the show. HARI well placed and outside, looped up three and four wide through the turn, fanned five wide into the stretch, drifted in slightly and weakened. PUNX passed a tiring rival. NEW BERN well placed and inside, gained position two and three wide through the second turn, fanned four wide into the stretch, drifted in and faded.
