Chart notes
DERBYNESS pressed the pace three wide, made a three wide bid on the turn and came four wide off the bend while clear, then shifted in leaving the furlong marker and held sway late to prove best under a drive. ITALIAN SYMPHONY chased the early pace on the outside, then angled in nearing the far turn, raced two wide on the turn and was climbing a bit midway on the turn, moved to the inside and cut the corner leaving the turn and then finished well up the inside but was too late. STEADY JOHN tracked the early pace, two wide on the turn, came three wide off the turn, angled out to the outside and faded while staying on to best the rest. MISTER AGENT set a pressured pace along the inside, came two wide off the bend and weakened. HOMETOWN HERO was reserved early, three wide on the turn and had no response.
