Chart notes
DELPHIA caught a flyer at the break angling in from the outer post to set a moderate pace along the backstretch up front, continued to roll along unopposed on the turn setting a quicker second split, opened up by the furlong marker, finished up on the wrong lead down the lane but it didn't make any difference and won quite comfortably when crossing the finish line for the front-running score. FRANKIE'S GIRL was allowed to settle at the rear between horses down the backside, had to wait behind a wall of four runners through the turn, had a quick turn of foot finding a seam in the two path bursting through at the quarter pole and rallied late to be a non-threating but clear second at the wire. HELLUVA HOLIDAY was under a snug hold just behind the frontrunner down the back straight, chased the leader but to no avail in the turn, angled four wide at the top of the lane and finished up mildly to save for the show money in the end. TEXT ME UP was close to the back of the pack three wide with runners on either side down the backstretch, offered a brief rally, separating from runners two wide with five sixteenths from home, shifted out four wide at the top of the lane and finished up one paced to the wire to settle on the fringes. WINYAH BAY stalked near the rear four deep on the outside, came under a ride four wide with three furlongs left to run, keeping pace outside with rivals on the turn, shifted out widest in the five path straightening for home but lacked a finish down the stretch. THUNDERHEAVYRAIN was off a step slow to begin, then was roused on the rail leaving the chute trying to get a better forward position inside, settled on the fence in the third group down the backstretch stalking, made no impact while scrubbed on for more taking the shortest way around the turn and had little presence in the drive to the wire. AWILDAS TREASURE tracked the pacesetter outside a rival along the backside, was hard ridden three wide between foes but was going the wrong way around the bend and failed to menace in the three path in the stretch running.
