Chart notes
PORTIS raced in the two path around the first turn, pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the far turn still in the two path and kicked clear in the stretch. TOADY HOPPER saved ground early, settled in the middle of the pack on the inside for the run up the backstretch, began a bid from the three path coming around the second bend and continued to improve position in the lane. WALKER'S GAP raced in the two path around the first turn, continued up the backstretch in the middle of the pack on the outside, began a bid from the two path passing the three eighths pole and was outkicked in the stretch. LONG ASTRIDE raced off the pace on the inside through the opening half mile, ran into traffic and took up headed into the far turn, continued in the two path from there and showed no kick. TABLOID led the field while saving ground around the first turn, dueled on the inside up the backstretch, dropped back while saving ground around the far turn and tired further in the lane. THE RIDER OF HORSE THREE, LONG ASTRIDE, CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST HORSE TWO, TOADY HOPPER, CITING INTERFERENCE HEADED INTO THE TURN. UPON REVIEW, NO CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
