Chart notes
NAVY MAN pulled when rated along the inside early, went up to challenge quickly early on the backstretch and put a head in front, battled through the far turn, edged away midstretch and was kept busy to the wire. DEMOTIVATE was off a bit slow in the beginning, trailed on the inside, passed rivals under light coaxing, saved ground through the far turn, moved out a bit in upper stretch and came with a late rally to get up for second. JERRY'S SPIRIT took control early and crossed over to the rail around the first turn, moved off the fence and was challenged by NAVY MAN on the backstretch, dueled with that rival to the eighth pole, finally yielded midstretch and lost second. J B STRIKES BACK stalked between rivals then got bothered early three wide on the clubhouse turn, moved into the two path around the bend, found the rail on the backstretch, saved ground to the stretch and kept on to round out the superfecta. SALTWATER COWBOY traveled in the four path around the first turn, sat off the pace up the backstretch, made some progress three deep then two wide into the lane, moved out in the stretch and flattened in the furlong grounds. RICKS RED STORM showed early speed three deep into the first turn then chased in the four path around the bend, stalked three deep up the backstretch, remained off the rail around the far turn, had to pause entering the lane and weakened. MISCHELOF (CHI) raced three then two wide towards the rear, trailed three deep into the far turn, chased four deep midway around the bend, asked two wide into the lane and lacked a rally. RATLEFF pulled early then settled off the pace, chased three deep at the five-sixteenths pole, two wide into the stretch and failed to be a factor. COACH CRONIN showed speed between rivals into the first turn then dropped back to chase in the three path, lost ground on the backstretch, tired on the far turn, eased in the lane and walked off. DON'T HIT ME BASH forwardly placed early then drifted out and had to steady on the clubhouse turn, flanked the leader early on the backstretch then stalked the top pair to the far turn, dropped back around that bend, eased in the drive and walked off.
