Chart notes
SAMARITANO had early speed three wide between foes, dropped back to last down the backstretch, gained a bit four wide around the far turn, re-rallied on the left lead in the lane and was up in the final strides. SPLENDID SUMMER had his head turned at the start, saved ground in range, tipped three wide to advance around the far turn, took the lead near the quarter pole and led until the final strides. THE HONEYMAN saved ground off the pace, rallied along the rail through the lane and was gaining late. HEY RIVER set the pace along the rail, was collared near the quarter pole, fought on past the eighth pole and was outfinished. CANDY STREET tracked the pace four wide around the first turn, bid two wide between foes around the far turn and weakened in the drive. FLATTER ME failed to menace while racing three and four wide. ICE THE KICKER prompted the pace two wide and retreated after a half.
