Chart notes
BID ON BLUE took the lead approaching the three quarter pole and angled to the inside to show the way, came under pressure leaving the three eighths pole, dueled clear midway on the far turn then dug in determinedly to hold off the game late challenge of ROMANTIC WARRIOR, who steadied into the first turn then bid leaving the three eighths pole, but raced hemmed in nearest the rail on the far turn, eased out entering the stretch and moved alongside the winner in later yards, but missed by a nose. RUDD'S ROCKET settled close in the three path, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole, raced in the four path on the far turn and ran evenly in the lane. MEGS GOLDEN BOY rounded the opening turn about the three path, picked up the chase from the seven sixteenths pole and raced off the rail on the far turn, eased out passing the eighth pole and finished evenly. EL MORITO stalked off the rail then challenged at the three eighths pole, but dropped back off the rail midway through the far turn and flattened in the lane. BROTHER JACKSON was shuffled back at the start then saved some ground on the first turn and showed little response through the backstretch. PEDAL TO THE MOON settled in the three path the first turn and saved ground on the far turn. ROARK settled in the four path the first turn, left the turn outside and gave chase from the three eighths pole but weakened in the five path entering the far turn.
