DUVAL STREET stalked inside near the rear at the start, rated kindly finding her stride down the backside, was coaxed at the quarter pole picking up the bit while shifting outside rivals, had a full head of stream in the five path at the top of the lane and closed in sharply late to just get up before the finish line for the well timed stretch rally. JUST A GEM took this field into the first turn, dictated the pace down the backstretch, was headed outside with a quarter mile to run, spurted clear when straightening out for the drive but could not fend off the winner late giving way grudgingly near the wire. UNDER AGREEMENT (FR) had a stalking role in the third flight outside in the early parts of the race, began to pick up runners three wide at the three eighths marker, loomed boldly four wide at the top of the lane, could not sustain the rally and stalled in the final sixteenth to be a clear third. MARDENE was in the four path tracking in the second flight early on, kept a close eye on the frontrunner three deep along the backside, moved in to duel outside through the final bend to be in the mix three wide in upper stretch but could only finish up evenly with a sixteenth to run settling for a minor role in the end.PORT RENFREW watched the pacesetter two wide into the first turn, tracked the lead pair outside down the back straight, could not keep up between foes midway on the far turn and had little to offer in the two path in the drive to the wire. EMPIRE'S TREAT co-trailed on the inside, saved ground inching up on the fence in the last turn, shifted out six wide for the drive and offered a late rally to pick up a couple of runners in deep stretch. SILENT PASSION sat behind the pacesetter in the early parts of the race, kept pace when nudged on for more on the fence in the final bend, was in range inside on the rail turning for home, could not find another gear late and tired inside at the furlong marker. NOYZEE GIRL travelled in mid-pack inside foes, edged closer in the two path with runners on either side down the back straight under a snug hold, was roused to go at the quarter pole but had little response and lacked a finish in the stretch. ARRAKASTA ISTORIA settled on the outside near the rear, was roused on the final bend but was going in the wrong direction and could not get involved in the stretch running. HELIOCENTRIC co-trailed on the outside, made no impression while at the rear through the far turn losing touch with the field and cantering home to the finish line.
