Chart notes
MANNIX (IRE) was allowed to settle into stride at the rear after the start, improved down the backside pulling the rider closer at the half, waited for the cue to move under a snug hold on the turn, found a seam three wide at the top of the stretch, was given its head four wide at the furlong pole bursting between rivals in an instant and was going away under a hand ride for the win at the finish line. ECHO WITH LAUGHTER was away alertly for the lead at the break, settled down to have a good spot watching the contesting duo down the backside, edged closer around the turn, bid for the lead three wide between horses two furlongs from the wire, spurted away to a clear advantage with an eighth left to go but could not fend off the overpowering winner in deep stretch. FAST BOAT TO SKYE travelled in midfield with runners on both sides, made a sharp move three wide with three furlongs from home to bid four wide by the quarter pole, was in the hunt in the four path in upper stretch and finished up willingly to settle for the show award in the end. DRAGON'S BREW stalked close to the back of the pack between foes two wide early on, began to lengthen stride at the three eighths marker, made a quick move circling four wide with a quarter mile left to run, shifted out further in the six path at the top of the lane, could not sustain the rally and stalled at the sixteenth pole to settle on the fringes. SALVATOR MUNDI settled in mid-division three deep down the back straight, stalked in the third flight on the outside around the bend, angled out five wide straightening out for home and had good late energy in the last furlong outside rivals. DECIMATOR travelled three deep near the rear, made little impression taking the shortest way around seeing the field on the turn, skimmed the fence in upper stretch and passed some tired ones in deep stretch. THREE SONNY SIDEUP bobbled at the break, recouped to duel outside for the lead along the backside, vied between runners in the two path at the quarter pole and came up empty for the drive folding up at the sixteenth pole. FRANK'S ART was antsy prior to the start, settled on the rail in mid-pack, waited behind runners moving well around the bend, shifted out at the quarter pole to find a path four wide in upper stretch but failed to fire down the lane. COMMANDER JOE was hustled on the rail for the lead entering the backstretch, came under a ride trying to maintain position up top on the fence through the bend, had little left to offer turning for home and retreated on the rail at the furlong marker.
